RES4Africa Foundation Executive School 2024 (Scholarship available)

Applications are open for the RES4Africa Foundation Executive School 2024. RES4Africa Foundation, in partnership with Enel Foundation, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the European Investment Bank (EIB), and in collaboration with POLIMI Graduate School of Management and SDA Bocconi, is delighted to announce the 11th edition of the Executive School. This prestigious program, established in 2014, aims to equip high-achieving individuals with the essential technical, economic, and regulatory competencies needed to advance renewable energy solutions in Africa’s evolving electricity markets.

The Executive School will take place from November 25 to December 6, 2024 in Milan, Italy, and will be conducted entirely in English. It is tailored for institutional and high-level managers and professionals from various sectors, including public institutions, energy companies, universities, and research agencies across Africa. This year, the program also welcomes Ph.D. or Master’s level students and researchers from Italian universities, enhancing the diversity and expertise among participants.

Participants in the Executive School will benefit from a comprehensive curriculum comprising 80 hours of lectures delivered by international experts and industry professionals. The program includes practical sessions, group activities, and site visits designed to provide hands-on experience and foster a holistic understanding of renewable energy integration in diverse energy contexts.

Scholarship

  • Full scholarship will cover flights, accommodation, board, transportation, class lectures, tuition fee, laboratories and plant visits for 40 African managers. Take into consideration that only the African professionals will benefit of the full scholarship.

Eligibility

The Executive School Is open to applicants that are high and middle level professionals and managers from Sub-Saharan Africa and SEMC’s public institutions, national authorities, energy companies, energy and implementing agencies, research institutes, TSOs, DSOs, research institutions and civil society organizations.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of an African country;
  • Have minimum 5 years working experience in the energy field;
  • Be eligible to travel to Italy. All candidates are invited to check well in advance the procedure applicable to their specific case;
  • Be fully proficient in English.

Application

Prospective participants are required to fill out the registration form, submit a Curriculum Vitae, a Motivation Letter, a Reference Letter, a passport copy, and, if applicable, a valid EU Visa. The deadline for applications is August 31, 2024 with notifications of acceptance sent by September 12, 2024.
