Are you between the ages of 18 and 30? Do you believe that youth should have a stronger voice in democratic and civic spaces? Apply to join the DEPP Youth Advisory Council 2024.
The Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) is looking for five young leaders from around the world to help inform youth-inclusive democracy, rights and government (DRG) programming through its DEPP Youth Advisory Council (YAC). The YAC will be engaged for a 10-month tenure (approximately December 2024 – September 2025) to support CEPPS in designing youth-informed strategies that strengthen effective, sustainable, inclusive youth inclusion in DRG programming.
Specifically, members of the YAC will collaborate with CEPPS to:
- Strengthen its overall youth inclusion approach through the revision of existing youth inclusion strategies.
- Support CEPPS partners in the inclusion of youth priorities in program design and reporting through the development of indicators to measure youth focused intermediate result statements.
- Mainstream youth inclusion and priorities into key cross-cutting areas.
- Design and present learning events and resources that increase DRG practitioners’ understanding of the challenges that prevent a diverse population of young people from participating in political and civic life and offering approaches to address this.

Eligibility
- Open to young people aged 18-30;
- Be a national of Africa, Asia, Europe/Eurasia, Latin America/Caribbean, or the Middle East/North Africa;
- Are passionate about DRG issues in their communities.
