DYLOTT Black Diplomats Academy 2025 for Canadian Youth

Applications are open for the Developing Young Leaders of Tomorrow, Today (DYLOTT) Black Diplomats Academy 2025. This program aims to address the underrepresentation of Black employees in Public Sector and Global Diplomacy Careers by providing Black Youth Ages 18-35 with specialized training and learning opportunities.

The program objectives are:

  • Prepare participants to interface with regional, national and global policy issues ranging from sustainable employment and future work in the digital age.
  • Program delivery in collaboration with national and international partners.
  • An opportunity to explore different career paths, gain valuable insights, coaching, and mentorship.

Benefits

  • Opportunities to get involved in youth-led civic engagement activities.
  • Professional Development services and wraparound support.
  • Access to the network of Ambassadors, Consuls General, Ministers and Deputy Ministers and other senior government officials and corporate representatives.
  • Peer Mentorship, Research skills development, Field practice experience through delegations to national and international Summits.
  • Recognition Awards.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be currently attending or recently graduated (within 24 months) from a College/University program.
  • Identify as Black/African descent- Between the ages of 18 – 35 years old- Interest in Diplomatic and Public Sector Careers.
  • Available to participate in 4 hours of online module delivery/week.

The application should take a maximum of 45 minutes. Complete this application only once, including the attachment of your CV and references.
