Deadline: January 7, 2025

Applications for the Accelerate Africa Program 2025 are now open. Accelerate Africa is a pre-seed/seed stage accelerator program that accelerates bold and visionary founders turning our collective challenges into global businesses, providing the client intros, resources, advisors, and networks to get you on a path to $1m in revenue within 18 months of completion.

They run multiple cohorts per year for up to 10 startups over 11 weeks, selecting startups from across the African continent to get support in areas such as storytelling, team development, go-to-market, product development, and fundraising.

They believe founders who can turn Africa’s biggest challenges into global businesses come in a variety of backgrounds, abilities, languages, genders, ages, ethnicities, and more. This is why 40% of founders they have worked with are women, range in age from their 20’s to their 60’s, and come from and work in over 10 African countries.

Benefits

  • First – they will accept 10 founders who will receive support from 2 of the top founders and investors in Africa who have built, advised, invested in and exited multiple successful businesses in Africa.
  • Second – Their program is designed to meet your needs as a founder in Africa, whether it be workshops across their 5 core areas, coaching sessions from their top advisors, or tech, legal, and finance clinics support through their clinics and office hours. Build community with other founders in fireside chats, join in person for welcome week and again for the final week where they prepare you ahead of the demo day

Eligibility

  • Open to startups from across the African continent.
  • Passionate about solving a real problem and have the track record or traction to prove it.
  • Deep understanding of their customers and consider it their life’s work to serve them.
  • Lived experience of the problem, driving them to build a business that seems impossible until it’s done.
