Deadline: June 30, 2025

Are you passionate about becoming a professional coach and using your skills to create meaningful social impact in your community? Do you aspire to make coaching accessible, equitable, and empowering for all? The ICF Foundation 2026 Scholarship Program could be your next step.

This scholarship opportunity supports individuals who are committed to equity and impact and are ready to develop as coaches while volunteering their time to support communities through coaching.

The ICF Foundation is on a mission to ensure that coaching is made available to underrepresented populations. Additionally, to increase their focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, the ICF Foundation partners with ICF Coaching Education, ICF Professional Coaches, ICF Credentials & Standards, and accredited educational organizations to offer scholarships for individual coaching education opportunities.

Benefits

  • Tuition Scholarship (in-kind) to an assigned Level-1 (60+ hours) ICF-accredited Coaching Education program. Education will be provided virtually.
  • Recipients are responsible for any incidental costs outside of the pre-determined program costs.
  • The recipient will be paired with a coaching education program and does not get to choose which program they are matched with.
  • This tuition scholarship is in-kind, meaning it cannot be used as a grant and no funds will ever be exchanged.
  • Complimentary one-year ICF membership.
  • Access to a mentoring coach during the Level 1 accredited training program.
  • Application fee waived for ACC credential.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, you must:

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a professional coaching career.
  • Commit to volunteering as a coach in an Ignite Project within one year of receiving your ACC credential, contributing to social impact.
  • Be able to complete the application and the coaching program in English.
  • Have a reliable computer and internet connection, as the program is entirely virtual.
  • Be available to complete your coaching education between January and December 2026.
  • Be prepared to apply for your ACC credential no later than December 2027.

Application

  • Complete and submit this 2026 ICF Foundation Scholarship Application form by June 30, 2025, 5:00 pm (New York).
  • This form must be completed in English.
  • Recipients selected as finalists will be required to submit a 2-5-minute video answering a few additional questions for review.
  • If selected for a scholarship, the applicant will be assigned to a coaching education program and will NOT get to choose their own program.
  • This scholarship is a tuition scholarship and does not act as a grant to be used individually or to reimburse you for previous coaching education costs.
