Applications are open for the Generation Google Scholarship 2025-2026 for Women in Computer Science in Ireland. The Generation Google Scholarship: for women in computer science in Ireland was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field.
The Generation Google Scholarship: for women in computer science in Ireland will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s demonstrated leadership, and academic background.
Scholarship
- Selected students will receive a 5,000 EUR award for two consecutive years of their undergraduate studies.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled as a first or second year undergraduate student at a university in Ireland for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Intend to continue pursuing their Bachelors degree at a university in Ireland for at least the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic years.
- Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Demonstrate leadership.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record.
- Children of Google employees are NOT eligible to apply.
Application
You will be asked to complete an online application which includes:
- General background information (e.g. contact information and details about your current and intended universities)
- Resume/CV
- Two letters of recommendation
- Academic transcripts from your current institution
- Responses to short answer essay questions
IMPORTANT: Before starting the application, please have the following ready for upload:
