1. Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) Program 2025-2026. 

The Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) is a capacity building program by the African Development Bank and the Government of Japan. The overarching goal of the African Development Bank and the Government of Japan is to enhance human resources capacity in Africa, in keeping with the Bank’s High 5 strategic priorities, namely Feed Africa, Light up and power Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa, and Improve the quality of life of the people of Africa.

2. Mastercard Foundation/ Arizona State University Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2026-2027. 

The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), will provide graduate scholarships to train 120 young African professionals at the master’s level for various programs over 5 years (2025 – 2030).

3. Princeton University Hodder Fellowship 2026-2027. 

The Hodder Fellowship will be given to artists and writers of exceptional promise to pursue independent projects at Princeton University during the academic year.

4. Harvard University Environmental Fellows Program 2026. 

Harvard University Center for the Environment (HUCE) created the Environmental Fellows program to enable recent doctorate recipients to use and expand Harvard’s extraordinary resources to tackle complex environmental issues. Fellows work for two years with Harvard faculty members in any school or department to form a community of researchers that strengthens connections across the University.

5. AIMS South Africa Artificial Intelligence in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026-2027.

 This one-year appointment at AIMS South Africa is linked to a one-year Eric and Wendy Schmidt Al in Science Fellowship at Imperial College, London, which commences on 1 September 2026. The Al in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship at AIMS follows immediately after the Fellowship at Imperial College.

6. TWAS Fellowships for Research and Advanced Training 2025/2026.

TWAS offers fellowships to young scientists in developing countries to enable them to spend three to 12 months at a research institution in a developing country other than their own.

7. TWAS-SN Bose Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2025/2026. 

The S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Science in Kolkata, India, and TWAS have established a fellowship programme for foreign scholars from developing countries who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in physical sciences.

8. NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026. 

The NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship supports early career scholars working in critical areas of education research. Through professional development, funding, and mentorship from senior scholars, the fellowship enhances the career and research opportunities of the fellow.

9. American Association of University Women (AAUW) Selected Professions Fellowship Program 2026. 

Selected Professions Fellowships support women who are pursuing their first full-time master’s or professional degree in fields with historically low female participation, particularly in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines, at accredited U.S. institutions.

10. Asia Research Institute (ARI) Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025. 

The Asia Research Institute invites applications from ambitious scholars to conduct cutting-edge academic humanities or social sciences research on Asia.

11. AAUW American Postdoctoral Research Leave Fellowship 2026. 

The American Postdoctoral Research Leave Fellowship increases the number of women in tenure-track faculty positions and promotes gender equity for women in higher education by providing funding to women in academia to pursue independent research over the course of a year.

12. DAAD/AGI Research Fellowship Program 2026. 

The DAAD/American-German Institute Research Fellowship Program, funded by a generous grant from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), is designed to bring scholars and specialists working on key issues of central importance to the German-American relationship to AGI for research stays of up to six consecutive months each. Junior scholars and specialists are especially encouraged to apply.

13. NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program 2026-2027. 

This is the twenty-fifth year that NVIDIA has invited PhD students to submit their research projects for consideration. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievements, professor nomination, and area of research. NVIDIA has found this program to be a great way to support academia in its pursuit of cutting-edge innovation, as well as an ideal avenue to introduce NVIDIA to the future leaders of their industry.

14. Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship Program 2026-2027. 

The  long-term goal is to accelerate gender equality in STEM by generating conditions that result in more women pursuing scientific careers through alleviating some of the barriers they encounter when enrolling in STEM disciplines.

15. International Civil Society Week Journalist Fellowship 2025. 

Journalists from around the world are invited to apply to a newly launched fellowship to attend the International Civil Society Week (ICSW). The event will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, 1-5 November 2025 organised by CIVICUS global civil society alliance and Asia Democracy Network (ADN).

16. Human Rights Advocates Program (HRAP) 2026-2027. 

Founded in 1989, HRAP leverages the resources of Columbia University and those offered by NYC as a hub of NGOs and international organizations to provide human rights advocates with academic, skill-building, mentoring, and networking opportunities. Through seminars, participation in university courses, and workshops led by staff from leading human rights organizations as well as meetings with policymakers and funders, advocates share their experiences, reflect critically on their work, and plan future campaigns.
