Deadline: January 25, 2026

Applications are open for the fourth cohort of the beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship 2026/2027. Designed and implemented by The DO School Fellowships and funded by Mercedes-Benz, beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship launched in 2023 to equip thousands of young people around the world with the tools and resources to implement environmental projects for a sustainable planet.

As a participant, you’ll embark on a multi-year fellowship journey. Starting with a 12-month intensive, requiring a minimum of a 24 hour per month commitment, the fellowship equips you with the skills, resources and connections to bring an environmental idea to life. Upon completing the intensive foundational year, Fellows continue to strengthen local environmental efforts, scale their projects and develop their leadership skills through the long-term community.

Benefits

  • You receive award-winning innovation training through online modules, community-based Local Hub gatherings, a Regional Summit, regular access to venture coaches, 1:1 mentoring, and expert and peer support to help you achieve your environmental leadership and project goals.
  • At the end of the first year, you will be able to access project scholarships for up to €20,000 to advance your project’s development.

Eligibility

  • Open to individuals between the ages of 16-28, who want to address an environmental problem and reside in one of the participating countries (and will reside in one of the participating countries for the duration of the fellowship).
  • Applicants should have a good oral and written command of English.
  • You do not need previous entrepreneurial experience, you just need be passionate and driven to help build a sustainable future.

Application

The application process helps the organisers to identify the ambitious, inventive, and resourceful young people who are ready to make a real difference. They want to understand your potential and how they can support you in making the most of the Fellowship. There are three sections to the application which takes approximately 30-40 minutes to complete.

  • The first section is the written application and requires:
    • Basic information about yourself and contact information
    • Your passion and idea for the environmental challenge you want to tackle
    • Your learning and financial needs
    • Self-Assessment Test
    • A scanned copy of your passport or national ID card
  • The second section is where you record yourself on video: Via the application platform, you will record an up to three-minute-long interview about the environmental challenge you are passionate about and your idea to address it. They will not consider applications without a recorded interview video.
  • The final section is an application for Financial Support, which is optional and only for those who request financial assistance to participate in the fellowship. If you choose to apply for financial support, we need to confirm that you are eligible. Therefore, they ask you to provide the following:
    • Reference – Find someone who can confirm your personal living situation. This person must be employed and cannot be a family member. You will request the reference electronically by providing the referee’s email address. The referee will then receive a link to submit the reference on your behalf.
    • Income Declaration – You will be asked to declare your income by providing accurate and complete information about your monthly income sources directly in the application form.
