Deadline: December 1, 2 2025

Applications are open for the Hong Kong Universities Internship 2026. The Hong Kong Universities Internship is for students currently enrolled or recently graduated from a university in Hong Kong. It has been made possible thanks to the support of the generous donors. As an integral part of Salzburg Global programs, your role will be key to their successful operation. You will be responsible for supporting their preparation, administration, and implementation. The team will rely on your organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

You will have unique opportunities to broaden your knowledge within their Pillars’ scope (Peace & Justice, Education, Culture, Health, and Finance & Governance). This internship is also a springboard for relationship-building with thought-leaders and change-makers worldwide. Where possible, interns will be assigned projects directly connected to their specific skills and interests.

Duties

  • Researching relevant program topics, partners, and participants, including compiling biographies
  • Preparing program materials before each program
  • Ensuring the smooth running of programs by providing event management and technical support (in sessions: recording lectures, controlling the sound system, managing the microphones, presentation visuals management, etc.)
  • Providing reliable operational support to the program team and the participants throughout the programs
  • Note-taking during online meetings and programs
  • Providing database support
  • Providing administrative support such as updating internal documents, printing, copying, and mailing

Benefits

The internships are full-time, for a maximum period of three months. Although the position is not paid, they will provide the successful candidate with:

  • Board and lodging at Schloss Leopoldskron
  • A return ticket for their country of origin
  • Excellent networking opportunities with the international participants of their programs

Eligibility

  • You are currently enrolled or have recently graduated from a university in Hong Kong.
  • You have recently completed or are in the process of completing a Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrable interest in one of Salzburg Global’s program areas.
  • You have excellent English writing and communication skills, including editing.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • You are enthusiastic about the Salzburg Global mission.
  • You have a can-do attitude, can multitask, are proactive, and willing to work flexible hours according to the running program’s needs.
  • You thrive in culturally and professionally diverse environments.

Note: German language skills are not required.
