Applications are invited for the ATKV x Global Changemakers Global Youth Summit 2026. The Global Youth Summit is Global Changemakers’ flagship leadership programme. Organised in collaboration with ATKV, the Global Youth Summit 2026 brings together young leaders from around the world who are creating positive change in their communities. The summit offers a fully funded, intensive experience where emerging changemakers can connect, learn, and strengthen their leadership, collaboration, and capacity for social impact.
Over several days, participants engage in workshops, dialogues, and collaborative sessions focused on social impact, innovation, and leadership. The programme combines practical skill-building with peer learning, allowing participants to exchange ideas, share experiences from different regions, and build lasting global networks. It also provides tools and resources to help participants strengthen and scale the initiatives they are already leading.
Beyond the event itself, the Global Youth Summit is part of a broader ecosystem supporting young leaders through mentorship, training, and access to funding for community projects. Participants leave with new knowledge and partnerships, and the support structures needed to continue driving meaningful change.
The Global Youth Summit reflects Global Changemakers’ mission: to amplify youth leadership and connect young people committed to building a more just, sustainable, and inclusive world.
Costs
- Selected participants will be fully funded, with flights to and from Cape Town, accommodation, and meals for the duration of the summit all covered.
Eligibility
- Open to changemakers from all over the world.
- Applicants should be aged between 21-28 years. All participants must be at least 21 years old by the start date of October 19, 2026. You are eligible to apply as long as you are 28 years old or younger for the duration of the Summit. If you were born on or after October 23, 1997, you are welcome to apply.
- All of the sessions at the summit will be conducted in English and so a working understanding of the language is key. They will assess this through your application video and through an interview for those who make it to the third round of selection.
Application
The application has three required parts: a two-minute video, the application fee, and the written form.
