Applications are open for the Women in Tech Accelerator Ghana 2026. The Women in Tech Accelerator is specifically designed to provide business support for women-led or women -owned businesses that leverage technology. The project, currently running in Kenya, Nigeria, UAE, and Pakistan, aims to promote more diversity of thought and innovation in the technology sector and provide more opportunities for women applying technology in their operations to develop entrepreneurial excellence.

The programme comprises business advisory and financial interventions, including: GCIC’s highly acclaimed High-Value Mini MBA program, Women Entrepreneurs’ Transformation Programme, opportunities to pitch for and secure financial grants for scaling up their business, and access to portfolio managers. Initiated by Standard Chartered Bank Ghana, in partnership with the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre, the Women in Tech Accelerator will run for a duration of 6 months.

  • Funding: Grant of up to $10,000 
  • Support services: Legal, accounting, financial planning, and tech deployment guidance

Eligibility

Ghanaian women who:

  • Run a Ghana-based businesses or have at least 50% ownership stake in the businesss
  • Less than $100,000 in annual revenue.
  • One woman founder aged 18–35.
  • Tech-based or tech-enabled businesses. Less than 10 employees that are profit-making and tackle a specific, social, economic or environmental issue aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Own ≥50% of a registered business operational for 12+ months
  • Leverage technology/innovation in their product/service
  • Demonstrate social, economic, or environmental impact (aligned with SDGs)
  • Commit to full participation in the incubation process
