Deadline: July 13, 2026

Applications are open for the New York Energy Security Canadian Technology Accelerator 2026. New York City is a growing energy hub. As one of the leading financial and innovation centers in the world, it supports a dynamic ecosystem of clean and renewable energy companies, investors, and policy frameworks driving the energy transition. Investors in New York, spanning early-stage ventures to large global infrastructure funds, are optimistic about energy security innovations. With electricity demand in New York City comparable to the entire consumption of small countries and rapidly growing, the regional electric grid (NYISO) is in critical need of technologies to help meet demand.

The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) program will concentrate in New York State, where energy policy and procurement programs are driving rapid deployment needs. The program will lead to in-person programming in New York City during Climate Week NYC, the world’s largest annual climate focused event. The CTA will not only provide expert mentoring and training but also arrange curated meetings and sessions with potential buyers, investors, channel partners and other key stakeholders.

In addition to New York (NY), the program will offer optional in-market add-ons for companies whose solutions align with similar opportunities in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Benefits

Upon acceptance to the New York Energy Security CTA program, you will gain access to:

  • networking opportunities through networking events, speed-dating activities and direct engagement with organizations across the financial ecosystem
  • scale-up workshops that combine market knowledge with personalized support for expansion into the U.S. market
  • high-level events featuring key organizations and decision-makers in the financial ecosystem
  • mentorship opportunities with experienced business leaders
  • a global network of accelerator participants to support ongoing collaboration and business growth
