Applications are open for the Presidential Digital Talent Programme 2026 – Cohort XI. Digitalent is a strategic intervention by the ICT Authority on behalf of The Ministry of Information, Communications and The Digital Economy (MICDE) to develop and sustain high end ICT talent by bridging the gap between industry requirements and the capabilities of the local workforce.

The programme objective is to develop and prepare young ICT graduates to take up employment opportunities in the ICT and other sectors by gaining workplace experience, mentorship, and building professional networks.

  • Networks & Digital Infrastructure
  • Software Development & AI
  • Information Security
  • Data Analytics
  • Multimedia (Graphic Design & Digital Marketing)

Eligibility

  • Graduated and attained First Class or Second Class Honours – Upper Division (or equivalent) from a recognized institution in the last two years (from Jan 2024).
  • If waiting graduation (till Dec 2026), provide a recommendation/reference letter from the University signed & stamped by the university indicating First or Upper Second-Class Honors to be awarded.
  • Recent graduates in BSc. ICT or Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software, Security). Must demonstrate technical competencies in core areas prior to interview.
  • MUST be a Kenyan youth (21-29 yrs) & unemployed.
  • MUST NOT have previously undertaken a Government of Kenya internship program.
  • Ready to be deployed full-time (8:00AM – 5:00PM) in any MCDA across 47 counties.
