Deadline: August 30, 2026

Applications are open for the Jobberman Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Fellowship 2026. The Jobberman MERL Fellowship is a three-month (12-Weeks) capacity-building programme designed to equip aspiring and early-career development professionals between the ages of 18 and 35 years with the technical and practical skills required to excel in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL).

The fellowship combines self-paced online learning, live virtual classes, expert-led mentorship, collaborative group work, and supervised field assignments to provide participants with a well-rounded learning experience. Fellows will gain practical exposure to programme monitoring, evaluation methodologies, research design, data collection and analysis, reporting, evidence-based decision-making, and learning systems while working on real-world development projects.

Beyond technical training, the fellowship aims to strengthen participants’ leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while exposing them to industry best practices and ethical standards in the development sector.

Successful fellows will:

  • Develop practical MERL competencies through hands-on field experience.
  • Learn from experienced MERL professionals and industry experts.
  • Work collaboratively on real-life case studies and capstone projects.
  • Receive structured mentorship throughout the fellowship.
  • Earn a Jobberman MERL Fellowship Certificate upon successful completion.
  • Join the Jobberman MERL Alumni Network for continued learning, networking, and career development opportunities.
