Applications are open for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Fellows Program 2026/2027. The Bloomberg Fellows Program is a groundbreaking initiative that provides world-class public health training to individuals in organizations tackling critical challenges facing the United States.

Master of Public Health: Following graduation, Bloomberg Fellows work for at least one year for such organizations, putting their new skills to use. These individuals and organizations join a growing network of scholars, educators, and practitioners devoted to using the tools of public health to address the challenges of the 21st century.

Doctor of Public Health Program: Throughout their training, Bloomberg Fellows are embedded within their organizations and, following graduation, work for at least one year for their organizations. These individuals and organizations will join a growing network of scholars, educators, and practitioners devoted to using the tools of public health to address the challenges of the 21st century.

Benefits

  • Fellows receive a full scholarship to earn an MPH or DrPH degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Eligibility

  • The Bloomberg Fellows Program is designed for individuals who are currently working with organizations on the front lines of one of JHU’s five focus areas.
  • The organization’s work in the chosen focus area must be based in the United States, and the applicant’s work with this organization must be based in the United States.

Application

To apply for the Bloomberg Fellows Program, applicants must complete the two-part application process:   

  • Part 1: Applicants must apply to either the MPH or the DrPH program through the Bloomberg School of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS) including all supplemental materials (transcripts, test scores, and recommendation letters) to SOPHAS by December 1, 2026.
  • Part 2: Applicants must submit the Fellowship Applicant Form and their organization must submit the Collaborating Organization Form through Submittable by December 1, 2026.
