WWF Amano Fellows Program 2027 for Zimbabweans

Are you a young Zimbabwean leader aged 21–30 with a proven track record of creating positive change in your community and a strong commitment to inclusive conservation and sustainable development? WWF Zimbabwe, in partnership with Amano, invites young leaders from Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities to apply for the Amano Fellows Program.

The Amano Fellows Program is a 9-month mentorship initiative designed to support and nurture the next generation of conservation leaders. Fellows will participate in expert-led workshops, peer-to-peer learning and mentorship sessions focused on leadership, conservation and sustainable development.

Benefits

Selected fellows will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop their leadership and communication skills
  • Learn from experienced conservation and development practitioners
  • Participate in expert-led workshops and peer discussions
  • Receive guidance through mentorship sessions
  • Build networks with other young leaders working to create positive change
  • Strengthen their capacity to advance inclusive and community-centred conservation

Eligibility

  • Open to Zimbabwean young leaders aged 21–30 who have demonstrated leadership experience and a proven track record of making a meaningful impact in their communities or region.
  • Applicants should have a strong commitment to inclusive conservation and sustainable development and preferably be from or work closely with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities.
  • Candidates must have reliable internet access, access to a laptop or mobile phone, be fluent in English, and be able to commit approximately 5–8 hours per month to programme activities. Please note that there will be no financial benefits associated with participation in the programme.

  • How will the Amano Fellows Program benefit you and your work? (Maximum 250 words)
