We received a success story from an Opportunity Desk (OD) user, Jarius Andrew whose application to attend UNLEASH Lab 2017 has been accepted! Jarius Andrew is the founder and Executive Director of Youth Network for Reform, a non-governmental organization based in Liberia whose primary goal is to reunite communities and civil war enemies through socio-economic development initiatives. He will be attending the conference between 13th and 21st August 2017 in Denmark.

“As a regular Opportunity Desk user, I came across this opportunity way back in February. i submitted my application which consisted of a proposed idea, an Agribusiness Venture. This opportunity had attracted more than 10,000 applicants across the world.
On 29th April 2017, I received an email informing me I am among the 60 shortlisted applicants out of a pool of 325 applications to be considered for full travel and accommodation sponsorship. I was required to resubmit my application and answer some additional questions which i did.
On 19th May 2017, I received an acceptance email! I am among the 1000 talents selected across the globe to attend the Lab between 12th and 22nd August 2017. I expect to be trained and mentored to develop my proposed idea which supports the Sustainable Development Goals.
I have received full sponsorship although I have to procure my flights and process my VISA which shall be reimbursed upon my arrival.

I am honored. This is my second time benefiting from your platform. I was initially accepted by the German Marshall Fund of the United States after a very competitive selection process. I attended its third edition of the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program in Marrakech, Morocco, way back in 2014.”
