Applications are open for the Huawei Spark Malaysia – Tech Competition 2021. Huawei is calling on Tech Companies across Malaysia to join this competition for a chance to enter the Huawei Spark Accelerator program to power your Company with financial, go-to-market, mentoring & networking support, and more. Fire up your Company and take it to new heights with Huawei!

They are looking for innovative Companies with pioneering solutions in 5G, AI/Machine Learning & Analytics, Internet of Things, Mobile Edge Computing, and/or Mobile & SaaS Applications. Don’t worry if your Company is only relevant for one category! They are purely looking for innovative ideas regardless of complexity.

If you are looking to further expand your Company in Malaysia, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Leverage technological and innovation leadership with Huawei to develop Malaysia as the heart of Digital ASEAN!

Categories

  • 5G Applications: A “killer” application that unlocks the true features and potential of 5G, e.g. mMTC, URLLC, eMBB.
  • AI/ML & Analytics: Applications and solutions that demonstrated significant improvement, e.g. productivity, economics etc. with the use of AI and machine learning
  • IoT: With the proliferation of IoT devices, what do you bring to this world with the use of IoT technology (devices, connectivity and platform)?
  • Mobile Edge Computing (MEC): As a cornerstone of 5G and IoT, how does your solution leverage MEC in order to bring benefits to enterprises and consumers?
  • Mobile & SaaS Applications: Any digital enablers/disruptors that leverage mobile and web-based applications.
  • AgTech: Develop digital solutions aiming to improve the yield, efficiency, and profitability of agriculture.

Eligibility

This Challenge is open and offered solely to: 

  • Companies based in Malaysia. A business entity, regardless of its business area. Companies may be required, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to provide proof of
    • Company registration by submitting a registration certificate issued within the last three (3) months, or ongoing Company registration, or any trade registry and proof ensuring the registration of the entity in Malaysia, and
    • a valid professional insurance policy subscription.

Challenge Rounds

The Challenge consists of several rounds: 

  • Round One. Deliverables will be accepted from November 12, 2020 at 10:30am MYT to February 28, 2021 at 11:59pm MYT. At the end of this Round, up to 20 Deliverables will be pre-selected to proceed to Round Two.
  • Round Two. Deliverables will be accepted from March 15, 2021 at 00:00am MYT to March 26, 2021 at 11:59pm MYT. At the end of this Round, up to 10 winning Deliverables will be selected to proceed to the Final Round.
  • Final Round. Participants are required to upload a Deliverable on the Challenge website for this Final Round.
