Applications are invited for the Global Power Shift (GPS). The kick off event will take place in Istanbul Turkey between June 10-17, 2013.
It will be an inspiring, productive, and fun gathering of over 500 climate activists from all over the world. It will also be the start of a renewed effort to raise our voices against climate injustice. The event will be a catalyst for change, a unique opportunity for community building with a dynamic programme that focuses on sharing and developing the
skills, capacity, and strategy for taking the climate change movement to a new level worldwide.
Global Power Shift is the starting point for a new phase in the international climate movement. First, hundreds of climate leaders from around the world will gather in Istanbul to launch a year of new strategy and action for the movement. Then, we will fan out across the globe to spark an unprecedented wave of events and mobilizations for climate action.
Accepted participants will be notified by February 15th, 2013.
