The mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society. The World Organization of the Scout Movement, including its six regions, involves more than 500 volunteers in a wide variety of responsibilities. The volunteers are supported, at world level, by a very small team of enthusiastic professional executives and support staff in 12 offices.

Objective of the position
In managing the Asia-Pacific Regional Office as a branch of the World Scout Bureau, the Regional Director will provide support to NSOs in the Asia-Pacific Region; support the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee; support the implementation of WOSM’s strategy in the Asia-Pacific Region and contribute to fulfilling the mission of WOSM.
