The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has begun its search for the “best TV program”. Entries are now being accepted for the 2013 World TV Awards, Science/Environment Category with the theme, “Creating Ozone Safe Generations,” which is closely related to the theme of the 25th Anniversary of the Montreal Protocol.
The Awards is organized by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) with support from UNEP OzonAction.
Entry Requirement
Genres welcome are TV Documentary, Short documentary/TV report, Docu drama, Edutainment/Infotainment TV programme, Public Service Announcement/TV Spot, with a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
Prizes
Prizes for the winner include a trophy from AIBD, USD 5,000 and a trip to Manado, Indonesia to receive the award at the Asia Media Summit on 29 May 2013.
Note: Contestants may also submit materials already made, if any, that were produced within 24 months before submission. Productions even in local languages can be submitted provided that they are subtitled in English.
