The Dutch Harp Competition is a revolutionary international harp competition to be hosted in the Netherlands during the Dutch Harp Festival 2014! Storytelling is the central theme of this year’s Festival: through it we focus on the harpist’s original function as a teller of tales and bringer of news. Open to harpists worldwide, the Dutch Harp Competition emphasizes musical quality and artistry over pure technique. There is a € 20.000 prize money for four winners and concert tour.

This contest is open to harpists of all ages and nationalities
Prizes
A number of prizes will be awarded amongst the finalists and semi-finalists. These include:
- First Prize – € 10 000 and concert tour
- Second Prize – € 5 000
- Third Prize – € 2 500
- Audience Award – € 2 500
Additional prizes will be announced. All prizes will be awarded. None of the prizes are divisible, with the exception of the Audience Award.
