Deadline: February 13, 2014
The application period for the 2014 Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute – MBARI’s internship program is now open. The summer internship program provides an opportunity for talented undergraduate and graduate students as well as educators to come to MBARI for a period of 10 weeks in 2014 (June 9–August 15) to work on a specific project under MBARI staff supervision.
The focus of the MBARI internship is on the intern’s professional development—learning research techniques and improving communication and collaboration skills. Each intern will have an MBARI mentor who will supervise a specific project. Interns will also serve as peer-mentors to other interns.
Housing and Stipend
$500/week for 10 weeks; partial travel support may be available.
Housing costs are not included; however, MBARI will try to help arrange shared housing for all interested interns.
Eligibility
Open to undergraduate and graduate students (including recent graduates) and educators.
