United Nations / Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon Award for 2014

Applications are now open for the United Nations/Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon Award for 2014. Political cartoonists of print publications, electronic media, and on-line media throughout the world are invited to participate (No entrance fees required). These awards are granted for the best political cartoons reflecting the spirit and the principles of the United Nations.

The UNITED NATIONS in its desire to promote the highest standard of excellence in political cartoons depicting the spirit of the United Nations has established this annual political cartoon award given in the international field, and named the award after political cartoonist Ranan Lurie.

Prizes

Thirteen Awards will be granted. To be awarded in the presence of the Secretary-General of the United Nations,
The Honorable Ban Ki-moon;

  • First Prize $10,000.00
  • Second Prize 5,000.00
  • Third Prize 3,000.00
  • Ten Honorable Mentions in the form of plaques
