The YoungStars Foundation is now accepting applications for the Thinking School Africa (TSA) 2014 – Think. Create. Experiment. Innovate. The Thinking School Africa is a youth innovation program designed to increase the capacity and hunger of African youths to think, innovate and create world class solutions that solve real local problems in Africa. It will take place from November 9 – 15, 2014 at the Winchester Hotels, Al Mankhool, Dubai – UAE.

About the Think School Africa 2014

TSA comprises a 5 days innovation module in Dubai with world class innovators and entrepreneurs as faculty members. It climaxes with an innovation challenge in which participants present ideas that solve real problems and the 3 most innovative ideas receive mentoring and seed grant to nurture their ideas.

TSA uses a dynamic curriculum / handbook that provides a step by step guide on how a young person can practically go through the process of identifying a social problem and creating a workable solution that can solve the problem. TSA strategy includes a 5 days high level residential program in Dubai, followed by an idea innovation challenge, mentoring and connecting the most viable ideas to local and international venture capitalists.

Cost

Conference Fee: $2,300. The fee covers 6 nights accommodation, breakfast and lunch, return ticket, Visa fees, conference T. shirt/materials and tour to selected institutions in Dubai.

Eligibility

  • African youths between 18 to 40 years of age
  • Applicants should be passionate about innovations, entrepreneurship and development of Africa.
