The University of Edinburgh will offer one Master’s scholarship for the MSc in Surgical Sciences distance learning Master’s programme offered by the University.
The scholarship will be awarded to a second or third year student enrolled on the MSc in Surgical Sciences distance learning programme at the University of Edinburgh.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must be both nationals of and resident in the following countries:
Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kribati, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, Samoa, São Tomé and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Vanuatu, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit and evidence of a commitment to a career in surgery. Candidates must have performed satisfactorily in the academic year of the MSc in Surgical Sciences prior to application for an award.
Scholarship Worth
The scholarship has a total value of £1,000, which will be deducted from the annual tuition fee for the part-time programme of study. Successful candidates who receive the award in their second year of study can re-apply for a scholarship their third year of study.
