Entries are invited for the Children & Young People Now Awards. The CYPN Awards have become the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families. These awards provide a great source of pride and recognition for all those who strive day in, day out, to improve the lives of others. They offer an opportunity to raise the profile of projects and initiatives to funders and the general public.

Eligibility

Any organisations or individuals from the United Kingdom only can enter the awards.

    • The early years award
    • The play award
    • The youth work award
    • The learning award
    • The youth volunteering and social action award
    • Art and culture award
    • Young career award
    • The advice and guidance award
    • The leaving care award
    • The health and well being award
    • The early intervention award
    • The safeguarding award
    • The children in care award
    • The youth justice award
    • The family support award
    • The national citizen service award
  • Individuals, teams and organizations Award
    • Children and Young People’s champion
    • Children’s achievement award
    • The partnership working award
    • The recruitment and professionals development award
    • The public sector children’s team award
    • The children and young people’s charity award

Judging: July and August 2016
Shortlist Announced: Beginning of September 2016
Awards Ceremony: November 2016

How to Enter

To submit your entries, register here, choose the category you want to enter and submit details about the entry.Your entry will consist of two components. One part is a series of answers to the questions below. The second part is a one page word document, which contains the main body of your entry.

Part one:
Answers to the following questions must be provided:

  • Name of the project, team or individual
  • What was the cost?
  • Who provided the funding?
  • How many people were reached?
  • What types of people were reached?
  • How long has the work been running?
  • What makes the work of the project, team or individual stand out?
  • What has been the impact? (provide quantitative AND qualitative information on the impact achieved – the more information you are able to provide, the better)
  • If the work has been commissioned by another organisation, you will need to provide contact details for a senior person at that organisation for verification purposes. We may or may not contact this person.

You will be able to log in to the entry system and amend/add entries up until the closing dates for entries, which is the 1st July 2016.

Part two:
The main body of your entry, the one page word document, will consist of a brief description of:

  • Your work
  • The task or challenge
  • What was done
  • How it was done
  • The contributions of any partners
  • What the results or outcomes were
  • What difficulties, if any, were overcome and how

This description must be on one plain A4 page, in a Microsoft Word format (.doc), single-spaced and in 10-point type or larger. However, you can attach additional supporting material – such as evaluations, inspection reports, testimonials or press cuttings – to back up any statements. Supporting material should be uploaded along with your entry where possible. If this is not possible, then you may post supporting material, clearly stating the entry it is accompanying, to:
