The Hype Foundation is pleased to announce its 2016 Global Sports Innovation Competition. The Hype Foundation, an educational organisation focusing on entrepreneurship and start-ups, are looking to boost the businesses of those which apply, with a particular focus on sport. The ‘Global Sport Innovation’ is an international startup competition bringing together the best and brightest entrepreneurs from all across the globe, focused on building innovative products & technologies that disrupt the world of sports as we know it.
The final competition will take place in Rio de Janeiro, in the midst of the 2016 Olympic Games. Eight (8) innovative startups, each carefully selected to represent a different country, will make it to the finals after winning a semi-final regional competition.
Participating startups will get the opportunity to pitch their ventures before a grand audience comprised of top VCs, angel investors, accelerators, corporate partners and most importantly key players and influential figures from the sports industry. Accepeted entrepreneurs will be provided with a training & acceleration program, provided by the HYPE Start-Up Foundation.
Eligibility
This competition is open to sport entrepreneurs and innovators worldwide. There are several regional competitions : Africa, Middle-East, USA, Europe,UK, Balkans.
Prizes & Benefits
The final global competition will take place in Rio De Janeiro during the Olympic games. The winner wins 100,000 EURO.
