The St Andrews Prize for the Environment 2017 is now open for entries. The St Andrews Prize for the Environment is an international initiative by the University of St Andrews in Scotland and the independent exploration and production company, Conocophillips. The award recognises significant contributions to environmental issues and concerns.
Successful applications must clearly highlight the project’s innovative features, and state how the project meets the criteria for the Prize. The St Andrews Prize is not awarded to fund programmes of study or stand-alone research projects. Evidence of the success of the project, both in terms of innovation and tangible outcomes, must be provided.
Prizes
- The winning environmental project receives funding of $100,000 USD and each of the two runners-up receive $25,000 USD.
Eligibility
Applications are invited from individuals, multi-disciplinary teams or community groups.

All required sections of the form must be completed and incomplete applications will not be accepted.
