Named for the University’s first President and Founding Chancellor, the David W. Strangway Awards for Excellence honour the extraordinary career of Dr. Strangway and his vision that created Quest University Canada. This awards free tuition for four full years. The goal of the award is to provide access to Quest’s unique education to outstanding students regardless of their background, country of origin, or ability to pay. This award is subject to the Scholarship Renewal Policy found below.

Eligibility

  • The recipients of this award will have achieved very high levels of academic excellence combined with an outstanding record of leadership and service.
  • Students with a high school average above 90% (3.75 US or equivalent) are encouraged to apply.
  • Students applying for the David Strangway Award for Excellence must also submit a maximum 300-word personal introduction to the Faculty Selection Committee.

Quest University Canada Scholarships
The Quest program is rigorous, and an important criterion for a scholarship award is the applicant’s academic record. The scholarship award ranges from $2000 to $16000 per year. This award is subject to the Scholarship Renewal Policy found below.

Eligibility

  • This is not evaluated by strict numerical limits, however; the scholarships committee are impressed by a student who has done well in the most challenging courses available rather than one who achieved the highest grades by choosing an easier route to graduation.
  • Scholarship committee also interested in extracurricular activities — not the number of different clubs you joined, but the passion with which you pursued your non-academic interests and the impact you made on your compatriots and your community. Some ways that students have demonstrated this is through sports, community service, leadership, theatre, clubs, volunteering, other talents, and so on.
  • Quest University Canada Scholarships are awarded to applicants who have demonstrated an eagerness to learn, an ability to lead, a willingness to contribute, and a passion for excellence.

The Leaders in Elite Athletics & Performance Program (LEAP)

LEAP at Quest allows athletes to pursue both an education and excellence in their athletic careers. The program specifically caters to athletes pursuing their sport at a professional or highly competitive level. High-performing athletes are model examples of passion, determination, and discipline. A student who possesses these traits is a definite asset to our campus.  Admitted students who are accepted into the Quest LEAP Program automatically receive a $10,000/year Quest University Canada Scholarship towards tuition in recognition of their athletic achievements.
