This Generation Conference 2017 invites entries for the #ForMyNigeria Video Challenge. This competition is designed to stimulate participants’ interest in tackling pressing issues in Nigeria and creating the Nigeria of their dreams. The Challenge asks participants to describe their Nigerian dream and share what they are doing to actualize that dream! Enter the #ForMyNigeria 2-minute Video Challenge now and stand a chance to win an fully funded trip to the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this August.
Be part of the 1,000 youth champions to attend This Generation Conference taking place on June 24, 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria. This Generation Project is an annual non-denominational faith based and youth centric conference designed to converge like minded “This Generation” thought leaders to brainstorm on the state of Nigeria. This year’s Conference theme is “Redesigning The Future, Taking Responsibility”.
The Prize – Travel To The African Union Headquarters
- The trip to African Union Headquarters has been scheduled for 20th to 27th August 2017.
- The winner will be part of a youth delegation to the AU and is expected to abide by the travel delegation code of conduct.
- The winner will be required to provide a valid international passport for visa processing and ticket booking on or before the 7th of July 2017. Failure to meet the deadline will result in the slot being given to the first runner-up.
- The prize covers a return ticket, visa fee, six (6) nights shared accommodation, local transportation, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- The winner will be responsible for all other expenses not mentioned above.
Eligibility and Guidelines For Submission Of Videos:
- Only participants who register are eligible to submit their 2-minute video.
- Eligibility for submission of video is 21-35 years.
- For a video to be featured during the conference, the person must be physically present at the event.
- Only one (1) video can be submitted by anyone.
- Video must not be more than two minutes.
- 10 selected videos shall be announced on Friday, 16th June 2017
- Online publishing of videos starts on Friday, 16th June and ends on Thursday, 22nd June 2017.
How to Participate
- Record a 2-minute video of yourself describing the Nigeria of your dream and what you are doing to actualise that Nigeria of your dream!
- Post your video on their Facebook page @ www.facebook.com/ThisGenNG/
- Your video will be screened and the 10 most compelling videos will be approved for members of the public and your friends to like.
- The 5 videos with the highest likes will be presented during the conference for a general vote. Participants at the conference will vote and the video with the highest votes at the conference will win the PRIZE!
Terms And Conditions:
- All travellers are responsible for their travel insurance and is a basic requirement for the trip.
- Upon return, the winner is expected to share his or her experience at The Summit Bible Church, Abuja, as well as record a short video sharing the travel experience.
- The prize will not be monetised. If the winner is unable to attend This Generation Conference 2017, the prize will be awarded to the next person with the highest score.
- Falsification of age shall result in immediate disqualification.
