Canon is excited to announce a change to their previous Environmental Grants Program, introducing the new Canon Oceania Grants Program – Inspiring Tomorrow! This new program will now support schools and not-for-profit groups who are addressing both social and environmental issues in their community and inspiring change for future generations. Canon is the world’s leading imaging organisation that actively inspires with imaginative ideas that enable people to connect, communicate and achieve more than they thought possible.
Applicants may apply for a Grant in one of the following categories:
- Environmental Grant: An environmental project with significance to Australia;
- Education/School Grant: An educational project run by a primary or secondary school;
- Community/Social Grant: A community or social project with significance to a local community provided the project has or will be implemented in Australia only.
Grants
They are offering eight grants worth of Canon equipment in-kind across Australia and New Zealand. This year’s grants will be awarded under the following categories:
- Australia
- 1 x Environmental Grant – $5,000
- 1 x Education/School Grant – $5,000
- 1 x Community/social Grant – $5,000
- 1 x Runner-up Grant – $1,000
- New Zealand
- 1 x Environmental Grant – $5,000
- 1 x Education/School Grant – $5,000
- 1 x Community/social Grant – $5,000
Eligibility
- Applicants can be either an individual Australian resident, entering on behalf of a group, or an Australian legal entity
- Entries should come from schools and not-for-profit group
Selection Criteria
Winners will be selected based on the environmental and social merits of their organisation, as well as the importance of digital Canon technology products in ensuring the project’s success.
Application
To apply, Applicants must:
- Complete Canon’s 2017 Community Grants Program application form
- And provide either:
- a pictorial representation of the Applicant’s aims such as a photograph, drawing, collage or artistic representation; or
- a short video representation of the Applicant’s aims that is no longer than 30 seconds and made available to Canon
Canon must receive applications at its nominated postal or email address by 5.00pm AEST Friday 4 August 2017.
