The Israel Innovation Authority and the Pears Program for Global Innovation are now receiving applications for the India-Israel Global Innovation Challenge. They invite entrepreneurs, companies and researchers, to submit their solutions to challenges in the areas of agriculture, water and digital health. It is a unique opportunity to break into the Indian market.

India and Israel are joining forces in order to address some of the world’s most pressing innovation challenges. Launched by the governments of Israel and India during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel in July 2017, the Challenge aims at supporting development of technological innovation addressing global challenges in the areas of agriculture, water and digital ̉health.

Indian Winners

  • Exclusive Summit with industry leaders and potential partners in India as well as Israel
  • Cash Prize of INR 2.00 – 5.00 Lakh
  • Additional cash prize of INR 10.00 – 25.00 Lakh for water challenges only (sponsored by Livpure)
  • Cross-border mentorship and incubation/acceleration support
  • Matchmaking with leading corporates and investors to explore piloting solution in India

Israeli Winners

  • Exclusive Summit with industry leaders and potential partners in India as well as Israel
  • Funding opportunities for pilot execution from the new i4F Fund under Israel Innovation Authority
  • Additional cash prize of INR 10.00 – 25.00 Lakh (equivalent 15,000-40,000) USD to for water challenges only (sponsored by Livpure)
  • Cross-border mentorship with Indian industry experts
  • Matchmaking with leading corporates and investors to explore piloting solution in India

Eligibility

  • Open to Israeli and Indian entrepreneurs, companies and researchers
  • Anyone who has a good idea, or is working on a solution, which caters to the selected problem statements in the areas of agriculture, water, and digital health, can participate in the challenge.
  • Startups, individual innovators, students, researchers, not-for-profit organizations, etc. are all eligible.
  • All stages – be it ideation, prototype, ready for field trial, and further – can participate in the challenge.

Applications are closed for Indian participants.
