Deadline: May 31, 2018
Calling all young changemakers in the United States: Unleash your ideas through the T-Mobile Changemaker Challenge with Ashoka 2018. T-Mobile is partnering with Ashoka to launch a national contest that gives young people a platform to make positive, long-lasting changes in their communities. They welcome all young innovators, in teams of two or more, who have an idea—already in motion or just getting started.
Benefits
The top 25 teams will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Changemaker Lab at T-Mobile Headquarters in Seattle for a two-day workshop, where they’ll receive mentorship, skill development, and grants to get their ideas off the ground. Plus, an opportunity to meet T-Mobile CEO, John Legere!
Eligibility
Open to all renegades-with-a-cause between 13-23 years old in the USA
Criteria
The judging committee will consider the following factors:
- Changemaker Quality: You are a changemaker and are taking action to make a real difference.
- Creativity: Whether you’re tackling a new challenge or bringing a different perspective to an existing problem, you’re doing it in a fresh, innovative way that shakes things up and doesn’t stick with the norm.
- Commitment: You’re ready to stick by your project and leave a lasting impact. You may have mapped out a full plan or could just be in the idea stage, but you have demonstrated that you are ready to go beyond a one-time activity to make a difference in the future.
- Connection: Your idea is focused on making a difference in a community that is close to you and your experiences. You are open to connecting with others and working together to solve the problem you care about.
