One Health Photo Competition 2020 (Cycle 2)
Deadline: October 15, 2020
One Health and Development Initiative (OHDI) is now accepting entries for the second cycle of the One Health Photo Competition 2020. The One Health Photo Competition aims to promote image work of arts that have a One Health message or showcase an interaction between either human, animal, plant, or the environment.
A key part of their mandate is to utilize innovative and creative ways to engage the public on correlated issues of human, animal, and environmental health while promoting the One Health movement across all relevant sectors. One of such creative approaches is the One Health Photo Competition. The first cycle of the One Health Photo Competition was launched in June 2020 and received 93 amazing photo entries from 15 countries all over the world.
The theme for this cycle’s One Health Photo Competition is “Food Security and Livelihoods”.
The winner of the One Health Photo Competition will receive a compensation of $50.00 and all shortlisted candidates will have their photos showcased on our media platforms.
Participants should follow OHDI’s Instagram page (@onehealthdev), where the final photo shortlists and voting process will be facilitated.
- Open to amateur and professional photographers/illustrators to submit relevant still images/illustrations that would depict from an artistic and descriptive point of view – stories, impressions, or occurrences around farming and agriculture, and their impact on food security and livelihoods for humans and/or animals.
- Anyone who is at least 18 years of age from anywhere in the world is welcome to submit one (1) photo entry.
- Photos illustrating this crucial interaction will be given priority in the final shortlist.
- The creativity of the photo caption will also be considered.
