Deadline: March 15, 2023

The European Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for the 2023 Summer School for Female Leadership in the Digital Age. This year’s Summer School will be taking place in Spain from from 25 to 30 June, in collaboration with Huawei, as part of their broader educational initiative “Seeds for the Future”.

The Summer School offers a world-class leadership programme and represents Huawei’s commitment to advancing digital inclusion by giving young women the skills they need to take a lead in our digital future. It is a vision of equality and inclusion that aligns with the European Commission’s commitment to achieving a gender-equal Europe by 2025.

The programme offers an unforgettable week which enables participants to explore the intersection between technology, politics and economics. It includes a strong equality component and covers everything from coding and cybersecurity to sustainability and personal wellness, with participants taught and mentored by world-class leaders from across the EU and beyond.

Over the course of six days in Spain they will:

  • explore the meaning and value of sustainable leadership with world-class leaders
  • learn from internationally renowned mentors who will inspire them to embrace new challenges
  • understand the importance of technology in an increasingly interconnected world
  • develop teamwork skills during collaborative projects
  • practice confidence-boosting public speaking techniques
  • enjoy time exploring Spain: its culture, cuisine, nature and technology sce

Benefits

Each successful participant will receive a full bursary covering all travel and expenses associated with the School.

Eligibility

The forthcoming Summer School will offer a place to 29 young women – one from each EU Member State and one from both the Western Balkans 6 and Ukraine. They will be selected by a distinguished jury composed of business executives, policymakers, professors and equality advocates.

Application

The application process is simple and will not take you longer than 15 minutes. It is divided into several easy steps that will allow us to understand why you, above all candidates, should be selected to participate in this innovative programme.

If you want to make your application stand out, consider including a short video explaining why you are the perfect candidate for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
