Applications are open for the Project Empower a Warrior (PEW) 2.0 Grant. This grant is specifically designed to support Sickle Cell Warriors in their entrepreneurial endeavors. If you are a Sickle Cell Warrior with a business idea or an existing business that needs a boost, this is the opportunity for you.

The mission is to empower and uplift individuals living with sickle cell disease by providing financial assistance, resources, and mentorship to help them establish or grow their businesses. They believe that entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for Sickle Cell Warriors to overcome challenges, achieve financial independence, and create a positive impact in their lives and communities.

This Year’s PEW 2.0 is themed “Adapt and Thrive: Empowering Resilience in the New Economy”. It is scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Eridan Space Oluwalogbon House, Plot A Obafemi Awolowo Way, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. It will be a hybrid program that will host several industry giants and exceptional sickle cell individuals as speakers.

About CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative

CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative is an established not-for-profit organization focused on creating support for every sickle cell individual in Nigeria to create a world for them where they live life in all its fullness. CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative was created on March 1, 2015 and incorporated on October 27, 2016. Since inception, they have creatively ensured that the vulnerable people living with the sickle cell condition all over Nigeria, especially in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, Abeokuta, Minna are taken care of while creating awareness aimed at curbing the sickle cell menace.

Benefits

The selected recipients will receive financial support, access to business resources, and mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

  • 1st Winner: N250,000
  • 2nd Winner: N150,000
  • 3rd winner: N100,000

Eligibility

  • Open to individuals with Sickle Cell or Parents/Primary care givers to sickle cell individuals;
  • Applicants should have businesses or business idea.
