RETTI X WAVE Solar Training Program 2024 (Scholarship available)

Applications are open for the RETTI X WAVE Solar Training Program 2024. The Renewable Energy Technology Training Institute (RETTI) and the West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE) are pleased to provide an intensive in-person course – Solar Power Systems Installation and Employability Program, a comprehensive hands-on training opportunity open to residents of Lekki – Ajah axis in Lagos State, Nigeria; who are interested in learning about how to design, install a solar system and be employable in the solar industry.

The RETTI X WAVE Solar Training Program was created to train youths, women, and less privileged persons or students on Solar Power Design, Installation, and Employability Skills to promote access to skilled workers for the energy transition.

The goal is to Invest in the technical capacity of young Nigerians in Renewable Energy Technology and opportunities for career advancement in the energy value chain, producing a competent workforce for the renewable energy industry and building entrepreneurs who will advance access to clean energy to Million in Nigeria without Access.

Benefits

  • Inducted into the Solar Entrepreneurs Association for continuous mentorship and announcement of job opportunities.
  • World-class training standard using ECEREE-approved curriculum.
  • Receive a complete training package for after-study.
  • Beneficiaries receive solar safety gear for their own use.
  • Beneficiaries start their own solar businesses.
  • Beneficiaries will use certificates as proof of training to gain employment with solar companies.
  • Beneficiaries receive framed certificates.
  • Lunch / Refreshments provided.

Scholarship

The scholarship covers:

  • Tuition
  • Complete training reading materials
  • Safety helmet, Jacket, and gloves for Practical purposes
  • Hands-on Practical Equipment
  • Refreshments
  • Certificates
  • Beneficiaries are responsible for coming to the venue daily for the training program.

Eligibility

  • Applicant should be aged between 15 – 35 years;
  • Residents of Lagos Mainland (Ikeja – Surulere Axis);
  • Must demonstrate seriousness to learn and be able to attend the 2 weeks in person training and commit to the program, any missed class, will lead to disqualification and that slot will be given to a more serious person.

Application

The training will run from March 25 – April 8, 2024. The Graduation and Certification will take place on April 8, 2024.
