Can you think of somebody who is dedicated to fight for a more pluralistic, and solidary European society? Someone who stands up for justice and anti-discrimination? Then nominate this young person as the Young European of the Year 2024!
The Schwarzkopf Foundation is looking for young, committed young people between the age of 18 and 26 who make Europe a better place. They should show an outstanding commitment to actively work towards a pluralistic, open European society of solidarity and/or fight against injustice and different forms of discrimination. Through their dedication, they inspire other young people and show leadership and responsibility in their field of engagement.
Awards
- The award is endowed with €5,000. The Young European of the Year receives the endowment for the financing of an own project or for an internship in a European or international organization. The project has to follow the aims of the Schwarzkopf-Foundation Young Europe and should promote European integration and solidarity.
- The award winner will also become part of the jury for the Schwarzkopf-Europe Award and profits of being part of a European network.
- The Schwarzkopf-Foundation will promote visibility for the Awardee’s purposes through events, the large European network, and the support in public relations.
Eligibility
- Nominee must be between 18 and 26 years old;
- Be active in at least one of the member states of the Council of Europe.
Nomination
For the nomination it is required to answer the following question: Why should this person become the Young European of the Year 2024? It is also possible to upload a pdf-document (max. 5 pages) with references regarding the engagement of your nominee (e.g. articles, pictures, websites, screenshots of social media content etc.).
