Apply now to join the Climate Tracker Mentor Team. Climate Tracker is looking for journalists from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru to expand its mentoring team. The energy transition is one of the most pressing transformations and processes that humanity needs to mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis. However, there are several challenges in journalistic coverage of these issues in Latin America.
To continue their work of training journalists in their region in energy transition and climate journalism, Climate Tracker is looking for a Mentor for each of the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru. They are looking for someone highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented to join their team part-time (15 hours per week), remotely. The Mentor will be responsible for organizing activities, accompanying interns, editing texts and supporting other tasks related to the Climate Tracker training program.
Benefits
- The duration of the position is 4 months, and the monthly remuneration is $350.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru;
- The ideal candidate has extensive experience in environmental/climate journalism, leadership positions and copy editing, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
