Deadline: June 28, 2024

Are you passionate about climate action and making a positive impact on our planet? The European Climate Pact wants to celebrate your efforts. Applications are open for the European Climate Pact Photo Competition 2024. The European Climate Pact is a movement of people taking steps to build a more sustainable Europe. It’s a place to learn about climate change, develop and implement solutions, and connect with others for an even bigger impact.

The photo competition aims to showcase climate action taking place all around you, in homes, communities and cities. By recognising the efforts being made to fight climate change in our neighbourhoods, they hope to:

  • Raise awareness: Let’s shine a light on climate change and its impacts.
  • Inspire change: Your actions matter. They want to spark more climate action across Europe. To make an even bigger impact, they want decision-makers and other people to see your actions.

Submit one photo and a caption that answers these questions: What climate action have you taken or noticed around you, in your home, community or city? Why does this make you proud or passionate?

You could capture a climate-friendly part of your daily routine, climate action that someone around you takes, or a climate solution you’ve seen in your city. Get creative! They want to see all kinds of climate action – big or small!

Prizes

  • 10 winners (3 per category + 1 selected in a public vote) will receive:
    • An invite to the Climate Pact annual event in Brussels in 2025, with travel and accommodation covered
    • Their climate action photo showcased at a physical exhibition during the event
    • A digital certificate
    • Features across the Climate Pact’s digital platforms
  • The four first-place winners (main winner per category + public vote winner) will benefit from additional exposure thanks to a dedicated international media campaign.

  • All entrants must be over 18 years of age by the date of submission of their entry.
  • Proof of residence and age will be required from all winners.
  • Should a winning entry be the result of a team effort, the residence and age requirements shall apply to each team member. The team shall appoint one representative among its members to whom the prize will be awarded.
