The Kofi Annan Foundation is seeking a Communications Associate to start in late August/early September 2024. This full-time, 6-month position is based in Geneva, Switzerland, with the opportunity to renew for a further 6 months.
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Communications and the overall supervision of the Executive Director, the Communications Associate will support the Kofi Annan Foundation’s communication, outreach, and advocacy activities, including online and in-person events.
Remuneration
- The position is remunerated at the level of the minimum wage in effect in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland, and is subject to Swiss social charges and is taxable under Swiss/Geneva law.
Eligibility
- Applicant should have a Master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree in communications, marketing, journalism, design, international relations or a related field. Exceptional candidates with relevant experience and a first-level university degree are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in English and French is required.
Essential Competencies
- Excellent written and spoken English and French required. In particular, a passion and flair for editorial/creative writing for digital channels.
- Advanced university degree, or equivalent, in communications, marketing, journalism, design, international relations or a related field.
- Experience in a non-governmental or international organization is an advantage.
- Experience with website content management systems, email marketing management (such as Mailchimp), and social media account management is a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Canva is an advantage.
