Applications for the Belfast Legacy Award to Attend One Young World Summit 2024 are now open. One Young World is proud to be launching the Belfast Legacy Award, alongside Belfast City Council, to provide the opportunity for 10 One Young World Ambassadors from across Northern Ireland to attend the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal/Tiohtià:ke from 18 – 21 September.
Following on from the historic 2023 Summit in Belfast last year, honouring the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, both One Young World and an assembled judging panel will select 10 One Young World Ambassadors living in Belfast who have continued creating a positive impact there after the event.
Scholarship
Selected Ambassadors will receive:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal/Tiohtià:ke, Canada
- Hotel accommodation in Montréal between 18 – 21 September (inclusive) 2024.
- Travel to and from Montréal (flights in economy), provided by Belfast City Council.
- Catering which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue.
Eligibility
Candidates must:
- Be an existing One Young World Ambassador.
- Be living and making an impact in Belfast.
- Have a track record of creating tangible impact within their communities.
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to engaging with the One Young World Community.
