Applications are open for the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) Media Fellowship 2025. Reporting on and raising awareness about the international energy transition, renewable energies and energy efficiency are crucial in order to meet the targets set by the Paris Climate Agreement. This is why the Federal Foreign Office, the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE e.V.) have been organizing the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) Media Fellowship for several years.
This program is offering 15 aspiring journalists from all over the world the opportunity to come to Berlin and enjoy a full week of cutting-edge policy discussions, site visits, workshops and networking formats with colleagues from all over the world and other professionals from the energy sector.
The fellowship is connected to the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue conference hosted by the German Government that is taking place from 18 – 19 March 2025. They invite you to become part of this high-level conference and report on the discussions and innovative energy solutions through social media channels, video clips, interviews and reports.

- Open to aspiring journalists from all over the world;
- Individuals of all ethnicities, genders, nationalities, and backgrounds from all career stages across different formats (print, online, radio and social media) are encouraged to apply.
