Deadline: January 8, 2025

Are you passionate about voter engagement and ready to lead a dynamic team? The Dais is hiring five Campaign Managers to oversee their voter engagement initiatives in regions across Ontario. This role involves supervising Campus Engagement Leaders and Voting Ambassadors, organizing outreach activities, and ensuring the success of the campaign in your region. This fast-paced role requires excellent time management and execution skills to meet tight deadlines and manage a busy workload.

Campaign Managers will:

  • Attend a two-day in-person training session in Toronto on Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31. Travel and accommodation will be provided for those travelling from outside the GTHA.
  • Supervise and support a team of Campus Engagement Leaders and Voting Ambassadors, ensuring campaign targets are met.
  • Plan and execute voter engagement events to create a full calendar of campus events for Campus Engagement Leaders and Voting Ambassadors to attend throughout March.
  • Conduct outreach to campus stakeholders, arranging materials and event schedules.
  • Oversee event logistics, address escalated issues, and monitor campuses for disruptions.
  • Track expenses, staff hours, and engagement metrics.
  • Attend on-campus activations occasionally, as required
  • Represent the project professionally and remain non-partisan

Salary

  • $330 per day, approximately $15,500 over the contract period.

Eligibility

  • Experience in campaigning or community engagement, whether as a volunteer or in a paid role.
  • Experience supervising, coaching or directing staff or volunteers.
  • Strong leadership skills with a knack for solving problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure and on tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Ontario’s post-secondary institutions.
  • A commitment to non-partisan voter engagement
  • Ability to engage diverse communities effectively.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset for East Ontario and North Ontario roles.
  • Access to a car and the ability to travel occasionally to campuses is an asset. Mileage is reimbursed at $0.57 per kilometre.
  • Capacity to stand for several hours and lift up to 30 pounds as part of event setup and execution – only on occasion.

Application

Applications will close on Tuesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a virtual interview in January followed by reference checks. All applicants will be responded to by the end of January.
