Applications are open for the New Jersey Black Women’s Collective Leadership Institute 2025. The New Jersey Black Women’s Collective (NJBWC) is calling on the next generation of Black women leaders in New Jersey to be a part of the next cohort of the Leadership Institute from January to June 2025.
Designed for emerging leader in any sector, the Leadership Institute will help participants gain the skills and strategies needed to address current problems in real time, actualize their skilled vision, and build effectiveness, while developing a talent pipeline for Black women leaders in New Jersey.
The Leadership Institute consist of 16 intensive curated sessions led by renown keynote speakers and facilitators, Melody M. Fogarty and Rita Williams-Bogar. Sessions will include: Mercer County Community College high-level course instruction; a leadership assessment; a series of presentations, networking lunches, workshops, lectures, and panel discussions on a variety of topics specific to leadership, organizational culture, and personal development.
Eligibility
You are eligible to apply if you are:
- A Mid-level manager or supervisor ready to advance your careers.
- Aspiring to elevate to Director and Vice President roles.
- Interested in acquiring tools and strategies for effective change management
- Seeking to enhance your financial knowledge and skills to drive organizational success
- Looking to improve your fundraising abilities to support their organization’s mission and goals.
- Aiming to enhance their time management abilities for better productivity and efficiency in their roles.
- Interested in developing skills to effectively navigate and influence politics in the workplace.
- Committed to leading with AI and integrating technology into their leadership approach.

The application deadline is January 8, 2025. The 2025 cohort will run from January 25, 2025 – June 28, 2025.
