Deadline: February 5, 2025

Are you a Canadian tech founder in Atlantic Canada looking to hone your pitch, and showcase your business or idea? Apply for the Volta Virtual Pitch Competition 2025. Volta Pitch Competitions are an opportunity for those in the Atlantic Canadian tech and innovation communities to practice their three-minute business pitch and receive feedback from peers and industry professionals.

The Quarterly Pitch Competitions provide participants with experience pitching to investors and potential early adopters. Each competition will be judged by a panel of entrepreneurs, potential investors and community leaders.

Benefits

The winning Pitch will receive:

  • $500 Visa gift card.
  • Name engraved on Volta’s Pitch Competition trophy.

Eligibility

  • Open only to residents of Atlantic Canada.
  • An idea, product or company may be pitched a maximum of twice. Previous Volta Pitch Competition winners will not be allowed to pitch the same idea/business at future competitions (new businesses or ideas from the same company are permitted).

Selection Criteria

  • ‍The Idea: When providing a description of your company or idea, be sure to outline its originality. When reviewing the applications we will be looking at the information provided and since we’re a tech innovation hub – the technological component or your company or idea.
  • ‍Involvement: Volta supports those who are part of the regional tech and innovation community. Participation in past Volta programs, workshops, and events will increase the chances of being selected.

Application

Judging will be based on the pitch, business idea, and will focus on presentation quality and content.
