Deadline: February 18, 2025

Are you an adolescent girl or young woman (AGYW) aged 18 to 28 and living in Malawi, Tanzania, Cameroon, Eswatini, or Lesotho? Are you passionate about making your voice heard and leading the way in decisions that shape the lives of AGYW? This is your chance to make an impact! The Global Network of Young People Living with HIV (Y+ Global) is recruiting HER Voice Fund Ambassadors in Malawi, Tanzania, Cameroon, Eswatini and Lesotho.

The HER Voice Fund (HVF) supports the meaningful engagement of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and youth-led community-based organisations in Global Fund and related policy and program processes in 13 countries where the number of new HIV infections among AGYW is the highest globally and where the disparity in HIV risk between young women and men is the greatest. The HER Voice Fund is supported by ViiV Healthcare Positive Action and the Global Fund and implemented by the Global Network of Young People Living with HIV (Y+ Global).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the in-country representative for the HER Voice Fund, embodying its core principles and dedicating yourself to achieving their objectives.
  • Lead the creation and execution of evidence-based advocacy agendas, respectful of human rights and transformative for gender, clearly communicating the needs and priorities of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW).
  • Collaborate with the Country Lead to track country commitments and plans at both national and sub-national levels.
  • Engage with grantees to offer support and enhance awareness of their initiatives.
  • Advocate for the Fund in media outlets and share impactful implementation stories across various communication channels.
  • Possibility of joining the Project Advisory Group to assist in the grantee selection process.
  • Opportunity to attend regional and global meetings to voice the priorities of adolescent girls and young women in the HIV response.
  • Provide reports on the activities of grantee organisations and contribute to progress reports for the HER Voice Fund.
  • Report to the HER Voice Fund Coordinator at Y+ Global.

Benefits

  • Boost your strategic communication skills by creating customised presentations and improving your public speaking.
  • Develop your advocacy and leadership abilities through a thorough program designed to enhance your influence and voice within global health and rights movements.
  • Engage with a broader network of initiatives centred on HIV, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, education, and empowerment, paving the way for collaborative opportunities and global platforms.

HVF Ambassadors receive an honorarium to compensate for their work and contribution to communication.
