Applications are open for the ZICTA ICT Innovation Programme 2025. The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) ICT Innovation Programme is a flagship initiative of the Authority, designed to offer both business and technical development support to ICT innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs.

This programme is specifically targeted at local youths who have innovative, viable, and scalable ICT ideas or ventures that address current challenges across various sectors of the economy. It provides a platform for promising innovators to develop and refine or transform their tech-related projects into impactful, value-driven products or services that benefit different sectors of Zambian society.

Participating in the ZICTA ICT Innovation Program offers a wealth of invaluable resources and opportunities designed to accelerate your growth:

  • Expert-Led Training Workshops: Intensive workshops focused on honing your business acumen, technical skills, soft skills and personal development. Gain the knowledge and insights needed to navigate the complexities of launching and scaling a successful ICT venture.
  • Personalized Mentorship: Receive guidance and support from seasoned industry experts who will share their experiences, provide strategic advice, and help you overcome challenges along your entrepreneurial journey.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Zambian youths aged 18-35 years old.
  • Your project must offer an innovative solution to a recognized socio-economic challenge in Zambia.

Selection Process

The selection process will prioritize projects based on the following criteria:

  • Innovativeness: The novelty and originality of your proposed solution.
  • Business Potential: The viability and scalability of your business model.
  • Technical Feasibility: The technical soundness and practicality of your proposed solution.
  • Social Impact: The potential of your project to create positive social change and contribute to the betterment of Zambian society.

Application

The application deadline is April 21, 2025. No application will be accepted after the deadline.
