Applications are open for the Value Creation Challenge 5 Incubation Program 2025. The Value Creation Challenge 5 (VCC 5) is a nationwide incubation program of Eight2Five Innovation Hub powered by Old Mutual, in partnership with British Council, British Embassy, ZADT, SNV, Swiss Embassy, Delta Corporation, and the Embassy of Sweden.

As the Eight2Five Innovation Hub celebrates their 5th anniversary, they take pride in having empowered startups for the past five years. The program provides professional business development and learning opportunities, connections, and financial support to entrepreneurs and early-stage startups (0-3 years old) with innovative prototypes or MVPs and in the early market stage. VCC facilitates business development through product incubation, business development strategies, access to networks and potential angel investors/off-takers and pre-seed funding.

VCC 2025 Pillars

  • Innovative Tech: Solutions tackling a variety of challenges using technology, including AI, drones, big data, software, hardware, fintech, insuretech, edutech, investech, agritech, energy tech, and e-commerce.
  • Creative Industries: Solutions with a focus on fashion, music, literature, and gaming. The Creative Industry is based on individual creativity, skill and talent.
  • Emerging Industries: Solutions using innovative production methods exploiting a niche with high growth and/or export potential.
  • Sustainability: Solutions in renewable energy, circular economy, smart/sustainable agriculture, community and environment, climate-smart innovations, circular packaging, waste management, and water stewardship.

Eligibility

  • Must be a Zimbabwean citizen above the age of 18 years;
  • Must be the business/idea owner and applications on behalf of a third party will not be accepted;
  • Business/ idea must fall under any one of the four pillars: Innovative Tech, Creative Industries, Emerging Industries, Sustainability;
  • Business is no older than 3 years at the time of applying;
  • Shortlisted candidates will need to be available for at least 4 days out of every month from June- September 2025.
